My Element Diffuser Isn’t Emitting Enough Scent – What Should I Do?Updated 17 hours ago

We’re sorry to hear you’re not experiencing the full fragrance diffusion with your Element Diffuser. Here’s some important information to help ensure you’re getting the best scent experience:

1. Fragrance Takes Time

  • Fragrance diffusion doesn’t happen instantly. Unlike light or sound, the scent won’t "turn on" immediately when the diffuser is activated. It can often take days or even weeks to spread evenly through your space. Fresh air turnover is slower than people expect—offices, for example, typically have an air turnover of only 5% per hour, or even less.

2. Keep the Diffuser Running for Longer Hours

  • For optimal scent diffusion, we recommend running your Element Diffuser from 7 AM to 7 PM. The Kirri app is programmed to keep the diffuser on longer, allowing the fragrance to fill your space more effectively.

3. Start with Low Intensity

  • Begin with a very light intensity—so subtle that you might not even smell it at first. Let it run at this level for about two days. After that, gradually increase the intensity by one level and leave it for a few more days before adjusting again. This slow approach will ensure an even distribution of the fragrance.

4. Be Cautious of Overpowering Scents

  • It’s much more common for the scent to be too strong than too weak. The Element Diffuser is a powerful machine, and if set too high, the fragrance can become overwhelming.

  • For the best results, we recommend setting your diffuser’s intensity to between 3% and 5%.

6. Custom Intensity Settings

  • If you prefer a more customized fragrance experience, you can adjust the diffuser’s intensity up to 100%. Here are some guidelines to help you set the intensity:

    • 15 seconds on / 60 seconds off = 20%

    • 30 seconds on / 60 seconds off = 33%

    • 30 seconds on / 30 seconds off = 50%

    • 60 seconds on / 15 seconds off = 80%
