Why the oils are different
Nebulising oils are calibrated for atomisation inside powered diffusers. Viscosity and fragrance load are set for clean diffusion and to protect the pump.
Capillary oils for reeds and wood use a different solvent system that wicks through reeds or wood. These are not suitable for pumps or atomisers.
Using the wrong oil can cause clogging, weak scent, or leaks. Damage from incorrect oil use may not be covered by warranty.
Common questions
What's the difference between 15ml Micro, 30ml Macro or 100ml Aura oil?
The 15ml Micro, 30ml Macro or 100ml Aura oil are made of same formulation, just different bottle size. You are welcome to use the 100ml Aura oil to the Element Diffuser, just be sure to decant the oil to the correct bottle size.
Can I put 100ml or 500ml Traditional Refills into my powered (Beacon or Element) diffuser?
No. The 100ml or 500ml Traditional Refills are for wood and reed diffusers only. If you have purchased it by mistake for a powered diffuser, contact us about a return and we will help you move to the correct 15ml Micro, 30ml Macro or 100ml Aura oil for your powered diffuser.
Do I add water to Kirri diffusers?
No. Kirri powered diffusers use pure oil. Do not add water or third-party oils.
I cannot smell much. Did I buy the wrong oil?
Check your device and oil match against the matrix above. If matched, increase intensity or runtime. For Beacon confirm the correct straw is fitted for your cartridge size and that the cartridge cap is fully seated.
I used the wrong oil. What should I do?
Power off the device. Remove the bottle. Follow our cleaning guide in the Help Centre. Then refill with the correct Kirri oil for your device. If the device will not start afterward, lodge a support ticket.
Do Kirri oils work with other brands of diffusers?
Kirri oils are designed for Kirri devices. Performance in other brands is not guaranteed.
