My diffuser isn’t smelling strong enough – how do I increase the scent?Updated 7 minutes ago

Fragrance takes time to build throughout a space, so your diffuser may not smell strong immediately after switching it on. For the best result, we recommend allowing it to run consistently and gradually adjusting the intensity.

1. Start on Delicate

We generally recommend starting on Delicate for the first few days. This allows the fragrance to distribute evenly throughout the space without becoming overpowering.

If you would like a stronger scent, slowly increase the intensity one level at a time.

2. App Intensity Settings

The kirri app includes four preset intensity levels:

  • Delicate: runs for 6 seconds, pauses for 120 seconds

  • Subtle: runs for 12 seconds, pauses for 120 seconds

  • Radiant: runs for 18 seconds, pauses for 120 seconds

  • Intense: runs for 24 seconds, pauses for 120 seconds

We recommend starting on Delicate before gradually moving to Subtle, Radiant or Intense as needed.

3. Custom Intensity

You can also select Custom Intensity in the kirri app to create your own run and pause settings.

This gives you greater control depending on the size of your space, airflow and how strong you would like the fragrance to be.

4. Let the Fragrance Build

Unlike light or sound, fragrance does not fill a space instantly. It can take time for scent to circulate and settle throughout the room, particularly in larger or well-ventilated spaces.

For best results, allow the diffuser to run consistently for a few days before making significant changes to the settings.

5. Avoid Starting Too Strong

More fragrance is not always better. Starting on a high intensity can quickly make a space feel overpowering and may also cause you to become accustomed to the scent.

Starting low and gradually increasing the intensity generally creates the best scent experience.
