Are the candle wicks pure cotton and why do they occasionally result in a mushroom effect?Updated 2 months ago

We use only pure cotton wicks, which are free from heavy metals like lead, ensuring a natural and clean burn. Occasionally, you might notice a "mushroom effect" on the wick, where it forms a carbon buildup after burning. This happens when the wick absorbs more wax than it can burn, often due to a slightly larger wick.

To prevent this, always trim the wick to 5-6mm before each burn.
If you see the mushrooming effect, let the wick cool and then gently break off the carbon buildup with your fingers before relighting. Proper wick care will ensure a cleaner, more consistent flame and prevent unnecessary smoke.
